Roy

Roy was dumped due to "a change in circumstances", in other words, there were children on the way. Not the owner's children, but their grandchildren...

As the grandchildren started to grow up, they became frightened of this large dog with his fun and loving ways when they came to visit and to that end, Roy was kept inside in the summer whilst the family enjoyed the sunny days in the garden and then left outside in the garden in the winter when the family snuggled around a warm fire...He simply was not wanted anymore...in fact, he was in the way...

Roy is a beautiful boy with a heart of gold and kind nature, just waiting and needing to be loved during his "Twilight" years. He has been around children and gets on with other dogs. He has not been around cats.

Due to lack of training and attention, Roy can be quite strong on the lead, but he has a real eagerness to please and in the right hands he will soon learn how to walk with manners!

He asks for nothing and expects nothing, just a kind word, a gentle touch and someone to love and cuddle up with him...and most importantly of all, be a true member of your family...
