Why Adopt?

Through no fault of their own, sadly many dogs end up on a rescue.  By adopting a dog, it means you are making a promise to be their friend and guardian for as long as they live, a marriage between dog and owner.

 

This means taking them out for walks even when it is raining or the weather is harsh, training them where necessary, having patience even when you think you are getting nowhere and giving them love, cuddles and tummy rub even when you may be peeved at them for maybe chewing something precious to you.

 

They simply want to please and sometimes just need to be shown the way.

 

Adopting a dog means planning for them when you are not around to look after them.  It means treating them with respect and teaching them how to live amongst your family and the rest of society.

 

That’s a big promise.  What do you get in return?  You will get a wagging tail to meet you at the door when you come home.  You will get a tireless friend to play with and the unconditional love and unending joy that is only possible to experience from sharing your life with a dog.  It really is a fabulous deal if you can uphold your end of it.

Adopting a rescue dog is never without its challenges and should not be entered lightly.  But, if you are committed to the animal and its rehabilitation, there is nothing more rewarding, portrayed in the loyalty you shall receive from your new friend.

 

We’ll work hard to find the right dog to suit you to ensure that you have a happy future together.  We don’t have fixed rules about what makes the perfect home for every dog and their needs are different.
