Dog Rescue

Hello and welcome to the HOTS Dobermann Rescue website.  Here you can find all the information required to find out how to adopt a dog or even provide a temporary home as a fosterer, maybe you would like to volunteer and become part of the team, there are many ways you could possibly help.

From humble beginnings, HOTS Dobermann Rescue is growing into a prominent respected caring rescue organisation.  We have over 35 years experience nurturing and rehoming wonderful dogs.  We specialise in the Dobermann breed but we'll always do our utmost to help any dog in need and that we can help.  Our future lies in the same place that it all began, with caring individuals who want to make this a kinder world for our pets.  It's people like you who started it all and people like you who will help us care for so many dogs in need.

About Us

We are a group of passionate non-paid volunteers dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing Dobermann's in need.

We specialise in the Dobermann breed but will aim to help any dog, of any age and from any situation.

Having been involved with Dobermann and dog rescue for over 35 years, we have realised that there is limited breed specific help available locally for Dobermanns.  We strive to meet the needs of each and every dog and to find their new forever loving home.

HOTS (Heart of the Shires) Dobermann Dog Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer organisation based in Northamptonshire.

We are dedicated to rescuing dogs that are unwanted, at high risk of being euthanised or in danger of abuse or neglect.

Considerable care is given to finding a good home and educating prospective adopters about their responsibilities including costs of bringing a dog into their lives.  A comprehensive adoption process has been formulated and guides us to find loving, responsible, committed and permanent new owners.

Every dog in our care will receive the necessary veterinary care and treatment needed before being placed into loving foster homes, while they await placement for their permanent family.  We assist dogs in any situation regardless of age, health or temperament and will work with behaviourists if required.

All donations received and monies raised go directly to the care of our dogs in need.  Our group will always remain passionate and committed to the welfare of any dog which continues even after adoption.  All dogs in the Hots family receive a lifetime backup.

Finally, we strive to work with local sanctuaries and other dog rescue organisations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
